WILL A CLYDESDALE EAT A CHERRY PIE?
‘ACE’ PROVIDES A CLEAR CUT ANSWER.
Cherry pie is not a staple of Clydesdale cuisine by any means.
But we happened to have one in the barn recently and ACE seemed interested. So, we gave him a sample … which quickly turned into what was pretty close to a whole pie.
The funny thing is that is was after two other Clydesdales in our barn, DEX and WYNDHAM, turned down a taste. No interest whatsoever.
It’s so funny to watch Clydesdales on a daily basis … their habits, their likes, their dislikes, etc … just like people, each one is different.
You can check out a video of ACE gobbling down the cherry pie here. It’s worth a quick watch!
WHO’S IN THE BARN THIS WEEK?
If you’re coming to JFP Equine this week for a pre-registered event, these are the three resident all-stars you can expect to meet:
ACE

He’s fresh off making appearances this week at a corporate Christmas party and a private family Christmas party … now he’s ready to see YOU!
DEX

DEX joined ACE for an appearance at a private Christmas party over the weekend. Together, it was 4,500 lbs of pure awesomeness that you can also experience this week at JFP Equine. (CHORE TIME AVAILABILITY)
WYNDHAM

Wyndham was feeling a bit lonely this past weekend as ACE and DEX were out galavanting across the STL region at various holiday parties. He’s eager for some stage time at this weekend’s CHORE TIMEs.
“Thanks for lovin’ Clydesdales.
See you soon at JFP Equine!”
ABOUT JFP EQUINE
JFP Equine was established in 2011 by Jim Poole following a 25-yr career in the management of the Budweiser Clydesdales. Prior to Budweiser, Poole worked with, and actively managed, several top-quality draft horse hitches in competition throughout Canada and the U.S.
Tucked along the outskirts of Waterloo, IL (just outside St. Louis, MO), JFP Equine's headquarters is a small but MIGHTY working farm home to best-of-breed Clydesdales (and occasionally other breeds of draft horse).
*IMPORTANT: The Activity is potentially dangerous for reasons that include but are not limited to the propensity of an equine to behave in dangerous ways that may result in injury to the participant; the inability to predict an equine’s reaction to sound, movements, objects, persons, or animals; and the hazards of surface or subsurface conditions.
